WHAT?
Branding, advertising and UX/UI design project for the new tourism app Gondolier. A mobile application that allows you to travel only to places where you want to go The app makes also personalized connections with local companies such as restaurants, bars, shops and event locations to guarantee the best experience while travelling. Very often it also gives you special offers to use different attractions since The Gondolier is cooperating with many other partners.
WHY?
A common issue with standard tourism apps is that the recommendations are drawn from basic knowledge and common experiences. The Gondolier is different. It will allow you to travel only to places where you want to go, without wasting your time for other attractions that you are not even into. Similar to Wikipedia, users can add their own maps, tips, suggestions, and other details while the app monitors posts regularly for unwanted advertising or other intrusions.
WHO?
This app is aimed more for the explorer than a tourist interested in generic selfie locations, or standard experiences. Preferably younger generations including Millenials and IGeneration. For those who love to travel and combine it with their secondary hobbies. Thanks to the basic filters like design, architecture, music, adventure, and those created by users The Gondolier is good for every single interest and it's still expanding.
This project is inspired by a Venetian gondolier- A Venetian boatmen who propels a gondola guiding tourists around the canals of Venice. The Gondolier can take you to the places that you have never heard off, surprise you and make your journey even more exciting. Colours used in branding were inspired by the photography of Grand Canal in Venice.

Gondolier values your time and unlike other travel apps, it allows you to customize your interests and trip filters so you will see only what you want to see.
